Vincent Pickering is a senior lawyer and strategic business leader with over 20 years of experience building diverse high performing teams, bringing transformational leadership vision and inspiring business to outperform. He has extensive experience in all aspects of global business environments including compliance, regulatory, commercial licensing, intellectual property, employee relations and government affairs.
Vincent has worked in start-up environments as well as large world class multinationals across a variety of industries; telecoms, software and IT, oil and gas, automotive and manufacturing.
Until recently, he was Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for WABCO Inc., a publicly-traded (NYSE) industrial and manufacturing company in the automotive sector with a global presence in 34 countries. In this role, he was responsible for all legal issues including commercial, anti-trust, corporate, IP, governance, compliance, regulatory, capital markets, M&A and tax issues. He served in this position for 5 years.
Before that, Vincent spent 8 years at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, U.S.A., as Associate General Counsel for the company’s Worldwide Licensing and Pricing Division. While there, he was responsible for legal support for Microsoft’s global commercial sales, as well as Microsoft Financing and the company’s emerging market initiatives.
Prior to his 8 years of service at Microsoft, Vincent was General Counsel and Head of Regulatory Affairs at Bulldog Communications, a U.K. telecoms service provider. Before that, he was European Legal Director at Ebone in Brussels, formerly GTS and Hermes Europe Railtel, a European fibre-optic network provider and Tier 1 internet service provider. Vincent has also gained diverse legal experience working with leading international law firms while based in Brussels and London. He began his career at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition.
